Lychee Collection

This project was inspired by a brief for an exhibition showcasing unconventional and avant-garde stone settings. Drawing inspiration from the lychee fruit, I focused on revealing its intricate layers and textures. Through extensive experimentation and testing, I developed techniques to effectively capture and portray the unique tactile and visual qualities of the fruit in my design.

About this project

The white baroque pearl was carefully selected for its colour and density, which beautifully reflected the qualities of the fruit's flesh and pit. To emphasize the stone and the fruit's natural features, I opted to keep colour concentrated solely on the stone. For this, I chose rubies, whose vibrant hue closely resembles that of ripe lychee, enhancing the design's connection to its inspiration.
